About The Event.
As inspection program is part of requirements for scheduled waste management facility, the Competent Persons need to perform inspection at the scheduled waste management facility.
However, lack of knowledge and experience to perform the inspection is the main challenge faced by the competent person at their workplace.
The course covers both the overview of scheduled waste management and understanding of wastes generated in the premises. It also covers the non-compliance that may happen in the premises and help to understand the links between inspection and non-compliance. Also, by incorporating the NC into the Environmental Aspects & Impacts, Risk Assessment and Risk Control table, the inspection can be prioritized based on the risk level. Lastly, the inspection frequency is evolving and the limited resource can be focused on high-risk NC areas.
In conclusion, the participants will understand the environmental and economic benefits of RBI implementation in their scheduled waste management facility. In the other hand, the participants will understand the use of RBI for inspection and prioritization.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
