About The Event.
The increasing generation of scheduled wastes and their potential impact on the environment has become a critical concern, especially in industrial sectors. Improper handling and disposal not only pose a threat to human health and ecosystems but also contribute significantly to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills to manage scheduled wastes effectively, in compliance with Malaysia’s Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005. The course also highlights the relationship between scheduled waste management and climate change, emphasizing sustainable practices that help reduce GHG emissions and promote environmental stewardship.
