About Hearing Conservation Administrator (HCA): Managing and Protecting Noise at the Workplace
The Factory and Machinery (Noise Exposure) Regulations 1989 has been in operation for more than 30 years have been revoked and replaced with OSH (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019. Along with OSH (Noise Exposure) Regulation 2019, a new Industry Code of Practice for Management of Occupational Noise Exposure and Hearing Conservation 2019 was introduced to the employees to control the exposure of excessive noise in more structured and workable arrangement through the action needed.
According to Industry Code of Practice for Management of Occupational Noise Exposure and Hearing Conservation 2019, employer shall appoint a person called Hearing Conservation Administrator (HCA) to assist the employer in implementing HCP at the workplace.

At the end of this 2-day program, participants will be able to;
- To recognize the effect of noise.
- Update the changes in noise regulation.
- Understand duties and responsibility as a hearing conservation administrator. (To conduct identification of excessive noise for each area in the workplace, to write a justification report, to plan action taken after NRA report presented, monitoring it progress, assessing it performance and evaluating the effectiveness).
- Understand the components in hearing Conservation Program.
