Optimizing LEV APCS Ventilation System Through Pressure Loss
4 EiMAS CPD Hours | 18th & 19th December 2023 | HRDCorp Claimable Course
ABOUT THE COURSE: Optimizing LEV APCS Ventilation System Through Pressure Loss
LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) and Air Pollution Control System (APCS) are essential to control particle or gas emissions from the risk of air pollution in Malaysia. Among the critical factors that give the first signal of system malfunction is pressure loss.
This 2-day course discusses the improvement measures and fundamental design factors on ducting loss, and fitting loss in both LEV and APCS that could improve the efficiency level of APCS. It will also address the types of ventilation systems in a particular industry and the definition of ventilation in different aspects of government bodies. Calculation of pressure loss, dusting loss, and fitting loss in identifying and troubleshooting LEV and APCS will be shown step by step.
At the end of this program, participants will be able to :
- Identify the types of ventilation in a particular industry
- Understand LEV, LES, and APCS
- Identify the area of improvement in APCS through a pressure loss approach
- Understand natural ventilation and dilution ventilation
